Like many writers, I have written poetry and fiction since I was an adolescent, but my work was private, my refuge.
My first job after graduate school was as a film critic-a dream job, but one that I left in order to embrace teaching. My life is the usual cat's cradle of professions and interests. I have been an academic for most of my life, teaching cinema studies and literature at the college and university levels. I have developed cinema studies curricula, worked as a silversmith and goldsmith, designed and made beaded jewelry, and owned an orchid business.
I am a life-long rock hound, an orchid judge, a Wagnerian Ring-chaser, and a passionate lover of all cinema and most genres of music.
I have published poetry in many journals and anthologies and I am honored to be a member of WOFU.
